Aston Martin?

Post by mik »

Been through difficulties many times in the past of course, but CEO exited today following massive losses.

I don’t strongly desire any of their current line-up, but I hope they are able to weather this storm. :?

Surely the fact that someone successful has gone in there tells us that it's not over?

That was the big plan wasn’t it? When he floated the company it was for him and a few others to cash in at the expense of the brand then leave it for someone else to sort out.

It could end up as part of the Daimler group, there’s several tie ins between the engine, electrical and infotainment side for the road cars, the fact Wolff and Stroll are now investors (Wolff recently having an investment foot in both camps) and now the bloke from AMG stepping in. I think Merc really could make Aston work but I’m just speculating.

Daimler has a hosts of its own problems right now so an Aston take over is unlikely. If Stroll can get the business turned around then in a few years a Merc buyout is more likely.
