Indeed. Mine only over reads a similar amount
How accurate is your GPS satnav ?

It's approx 2-4 mph under the speedometer 😂

Fairly accurate over a reasonable distance at steady speed I would hope.

That RS3 absolutely isn’t doing 200mph. He’s switched the display to read in KMH.

Before my S60's speed limiter was removed it would still go off the clock even though it was limited to 250kph so there must be a fair amount of error built in most cars.

GPS says it was pegged to 157MPH so it was properly limited, was very smooth though when it cut in, like a soft cut.

The Jag limiter's were seemingly absent, had an S Type R at 170 and it was still pulling so they are (or were) a bit hit and miss on accuracy!

I ran the car today with the OBD scanner and at a fixed 70mph that was telling me we were doing 67.88mph. That would seem about right with the M140i apparently hitting a soft limiter at 160ish equating to 155 limited maximum

I was convinced the i3 speedo was way off, I presume it was on purpose as it’s an EV and every little helps but sitting at an indicated 70 would have everyone pass you, had to do 80 to keep up. Never used a gps to actually measure it as it had sat nav.
It was electronically limited to 93 mph but it would show 98 on a flat. I do think it was more than 5 mph out at 70 though, it did feel like 10%
How about not having a sig at all?
