Project Redneck
Re: Project Redneck
Not something I've ever wanted to own, but I can see the appeal in that for £4400
Re: Project Redneck
In the spirit of redneck shouldn’t you be doing the respray with rattle cans or plastidip?

Nice! I’m interested in knowing the cost of a re-spray if you don’t mind sharing when you get to it?NotoriousREV wrote: ↑Sun May 17, 2020 8:44 am I think at the moment the plan is to enjoy it pretty much as is over summer while I save up for a full respray.
Reading how good it is I wonder if keeping it original with some sympathetic tweaks would see you increase the value of it
Top purchase!

I had a good poke around underneath and there’s zero rust other than the one tiny bubble on one wheel arch, and the rear balance under the rear bumper is a little crispy on the very edge. Someone has flattened the crimp seam underneath by jacking it up in the wrong place in both sides, too. Otherwise, you could eat your dinner off the underside.

So one thing that needs sorting on almost every third gen Camaro is the top of the dashboard, which is a separate part. They always crack in the sun. New ones are available in the States for $600 but I found one in Rochdale advertised for £175 on ebay, so I threw in a lowball bid at £100 and it got accepted.

I thought that was the decibel meter. Works in reverse up to the reference level of 0db (reference being f*cking loud)

Took the youngest out for a spin. T-tops are awesome. Every car should have them!

Dave, does the T-Top sacrifice any structural rigidity?
I’m a complete convert to open top motoring but that looks to be the best of both worlds.

Surely worst of all worlds; it clearly sacrifices rigidity while giving a feeling not much different to a sunroofOrange Cola wrote: ↑Thu May 21, 2020 7:02 pm Dave, does the T-Top sacrifice any structural rigidity?
