Repairing a Rusty Stone Chip

Post by Swervin_Mervin »

Got a few stone chips on the 330 that I was finally going to tackle. Got wet and dry, got a BMW touch up pen with laquer. Some of the ships, however, are slightly rusty - nothing major, no bubbling etc. Given it's all galvanised will I be ok to sand back and touch up, or should I really be applying something like KuRust first?

I’d definitely apply some KuRust or whatever, personally.

I'd scrape out as much as you can with sandpaper or one of those little fibreglass picks, then kurust or similar, prime, paint etc. Should be fine for a good few years.
