At £1600 I think I'd stick with a tape player :lol:

Yeah, a mate showed me that. If mine was a low mileage minter, I’d consider it. As it isn’t, I’ll stick with the plan to stick a £300 Sony double din unit in it.

I've specced up six now and never bothered with anything other than the basic 'free' unit, so my 981 GTS has a radio/single play CD in. I like to listen to the car when I'm driving. ;)

Put a mr12v Bluetooth box in mine and it's perfect. 120 quid. Digital radio through apps and Spotify on your phone. Have a look at those Paul

Cheapest I saw the 996 unit was about £2100?

Single-DIN CarPlay for classics is super cute. It actually works fine from a rotary/clickable dial so the tiny screen isn't a problem beyond being able to see thing properly.

Thanks for the tip, but my mobile phone is a Nokia 3210, and I leave it at home when driving to save weight. :D
