Re: Where’s the car price crash apocalypse ?
Covid has been a common theme, although sometimes it’s disguised as “I haven’t driven the car much in the past three months, it’s a shame to let it sit there being unused so someone else should enjoy it”. Logic is a bit backwards on that one

I’m seeing the same as Harry. I can’t work out if it’s people who *need* to sell, or people expecting a crash and trying to get out early.
Either way, traditional supply/demand suggests this is only going one way.

I think demand in certain categories is on the up. A lot of people are coming out of the crisis having retained their jobs and having not spent much for a few months.

Not much has changed at main dealers either, at least from the ones I've talked to.

the camper was 20% under normal prices.. Covid sale.
Made just sold his mint 6k 991.2 Manual GT3 CS and got 122k after all commission etc, was offered 145 a year ago..
more indicative of the general top end as opposed to pure covid,

I now can’t remember if it was on here or Twitter, but someone asked about 996s with high mileages being a big bill waiting to happen and a couple replied that with those, especially engine-wise, you’ve either got a good one or its already gone wrong way before you get anywhere near the big miles.
There’s been some bargains, I’m just wondering if they’re always going to be the runt of the litter so to speak.
Cheers,
Mike.

Re: Where’s the car price crash apocalypse ?
At a large discount, I hope.
Re: Where’s the car price crash apocalypse ?
That’s still list price isn’t it. 6k miles of free motoring can’t be bad! (Mind you not sure how many Macans your friend had to buy before being offered the GT3)

Some very decent Porsches on CC recently:
https://collectingcars.com/for-sale/200 ... -996-turbo
£28k inc fees for a 76k miles car
https://collectingcars.com/for-sale/198 ... -944-turbo
£14575 in fees, only 52k miles
https://collectingcars.com/for-sale/200 ... -boxster-s
My favourite, a very pretty, ‘low risk’ 3.2 987 for £10123 (56k miles).

Re: Where’s the car price crash apocalypse ?
None actually.
991.1 GT3
Boxster spyder
991.2 GT3
The turbo S is actually harder to get one than the GT cars believe it or not, even more limited numbers and they want it to be as exclusive supposedly!
Re: Where’s the car price crash apocalypse ?
I’d still have the 991.2 GT3 than the Turbo S #predictable
Re: Where’s the car price crash apocalypse ?
Foz I think the convertible is certainly going to drop when its less sunny. My boxster was 11k at xmas, it will probably be a lot less soon as for some reason people think 50 quid a month tax is a lot of dough.
Still, I wouldnt look to change it as its great fun..... oh unless I run out of cash
