Go on, explain, in detail, why.

Camless engine that'll likely sound like half a 911 GT2, true four seater, real range, gobs of electric torque, practical body design, reasonable if somewhat impractical (by shopping shitter standards) luggage space.

What's not to like?

£1 million minimum for a car with 3 cylinder engine. It could actively suck me off and I’d not give a crap.

Bingo!!

The engine would appear to be an epic piece of kit

Good vid. Much bigger than I expected - hadn’t appreciated it was a full 4-seater. Will be interesting to see how the market views it.... the likelihood of the wife n kids wanting to access hyper car capabilities is rather low (although I guess they might enjoy a straight-line blast every now and again). I guess it’s USP is that it is ready to play hypercar when your’ve just dropped the family off somewhere....

I remember reading years ago about Lotus Engineering playing with what I think they called “active valve”. Nice to see the concept making it into reality (not exactly mainstream but hey) and the notion of being able to switch to a 2-stroke under certain conditions is intriguing.

That is nuts, I love it! I’ve always wondered why camless engines aren’t a thing - it just seems so simple a concept (though obviously hugely complicated in reality).

I can’t wait to hear it though....

CAF 8-) "Freevalve uses electro-hydraulic-pneumatic actuators"

The twin turbo setup with each turbine driven by a varying numbers of exhaust is very very cool.

Shame stuff like this is coming right at the end of the ICE era.

Has camless valve tech not been used on bikes for a while?

Not that I’m aware of. Unless you’re thinking of 2 strokes? 😂

I’m sure I had a discussion with my BIL about race/super bikes using cam less valves. Not 100% certain though.
