New race car...

Post by scotta »

We've bought a new race car to compete in some endurance racing...

Incoming is a 2001 Skoda Fabia similar to JonMad

Regulations dictate max cc of 1400 and FWD. Team of three drivers. Myself Nefarious and my brother - who sourced the car.

plan is to do a rep czech police wagon.

It looks like it might be carnage, No mods? What about a cage? Have you bought a std white Fabia estate then, off someone's Gran?

Mine is (was) Ambiente spec, 100bhp from the 1.4. There was also a 75bhp 1.4.

Nice!

Got me thinking what would be the best sub 1400 cc car for this kind of race? Something with big fuel tank? Turbo?

scotta is yours a TDi?

The best we could think of is a Seat Ibiza cupra. 1.4 TSI DSG but you dont get them for £50

no - 1.4 75bhp.

Based on a chat to the previous owner, DS3000s. They seem pretty good once warm.

Hmm.. Those seem to be around £200. Given we paid £50 for the car i think thats a bit over budget.

I have brand new boxed front discs and pads that should have gone on my Yeti, I know they for loads of VAG cars? Any use?

Looks like they are different. The Fabia only has 14" wheels.
