You see, that's where you're going wrong.
Of course, your alfa was no trouble at all... ;)
Ah, that was self inflicted though. FYI, the bloke who very kindly pushed my Alfa out of the lake also suffered the same fate as me. Do you know what car he had?

A Saab.

Dun-dun-Duunnnnnnnnnn.
I imagine that their Saab could have been back on the road significantly quicker than the Alfa, though.

Oh god, no.
Problem solved! I was gifted it 3 years and 53,000 miles ago from my ExMIL and I've gifted it back to her.

No! I like Alison a lot. It's her daughter's behaviour to me and my enabling of it that I didn't like.

Ooh! that would be nice but I meant the Xreg from 2000/01, not 81/82.
When I first read the post I assumed new X-reg but then the headlight washers made me think it was a trick and you meant old X-reg and the "old" in the thread title really did mean old.

Anyway. Slightly old Saab. I'm a bit meh on this. Unless it's silver. Need pics.

Mrs B: “I have a shit box car. It looks nice. Grey Mini Cooper. But it is SHIT! Slow as fuck and no special features. Not even a paddle stick for the radio!!! Rubbish “

Yeah I was wondering that too. I guess she means controls on the steering wheel. This is third world level shit.

We have a winner!

X reg 9-3 Aero hatchback. I'm driving it at the moment. The brakes are utterly shocking, the handling is definitely woolly but it's much, much more comfortable than the Mini and it's got Turbot.

It's also blue.

X reg is old 900 shape but face lifted so no DEE Specs Mike

Aero bumpers make these look pretty cool, make sure you go see Karl (noobtune) in Long Eaton with it, best 80 quid you will ever spend!

DEE was 9-5 anyway. I had my 9-3 Aero noobed, certainly made a hell of a difference and cheap as chips too (shame he couldn't have done the V6 too). A very different experience to the Scoob but then again the Saab tuning path was stages which can be trailled and flash mapped easily where Scoob is so mix and match that a like RR map is the only way.
9-3 Aero hatch with 6 spoke wheels still look nice today in my eyes and are certainly a fun prospect for ownership, very comfortable too.
