Not really a user but familiar with it. I worked for Envitia in the GIS market for 2 years. Why?

I've never used it before, and have zero knowledge at all of such technical programs.

All I'm trying to do is get a plugin to work. Plugin is iso4app, and unfortunately it has limited instructions (presumably it assumes the user has half a clue to start with.

I'm having zero luck with it though. Not sure if I'm using too recent a version of QGIS - 2.18.26

Any help or pointers at all would be massively appreciated?

I'm more of an Esri person than QGIS, but it looks like I've got it working so hopefully this will help.

QGIS 2.18.16 and above is supported, no problems there. I tried with 3.n as well, but the newer version is not supported.

Steps that I used were:
  1. In QGIS, go to System -> Options
  2. Check the "SVG Paths" under system, there should be an entry like C:/Users/<username>/.qgis2/svg
  3. Browse to that location (mins the /svg) and there should be a 'Python' subfolder
  4. Create a new folder within the python subfolder called 'plugins'
  5. Paste the Iso4App plugin in there (you probably already have it, otherwise it can downloaded from here: https://github.com/ksolsrl/QgisIso4app - make sure it's unzipped of course)
  6. Restart QGIS and check your plugins through Plugins -> Manage and Install Plugins -> Installed
That seemed to work for me - I haven't got any suitable data to try out with it though but I can get the buttons to show up at least.

Thanks for that. It all looked fairly promising but still struggling!

It has two svg paths listed int he settings, the program files one and:

c:/users/<username>/.qgis2//svg

The double stroke is clearly odd, but also there's no svg folder when I navigate to the .qgis2 directory. There is a separate Python folder in the /qgis2 directory but has expressions in.

I tried adding the svg\python\plugins subfolders and the iso4app but no luck

Edit:

Scratch that, I missed step 3.

All sorted.

Just need to sort some mapping now.
