Far Cry 5 spoiler thread

Post by David_Yu »

Those who've finished it, chime in with your thoughts on the ending(s).

SPOILERS FROM THIS POINT ON:

I thought it was bleak, nihilistic and entirely in character with the Far Cry series. Remember the end of Far Cry 3?

The game itself was too easy though, even in Hard mode.
But I bought the helo gunship as soon as I had enough cash, which made virtually every mission too easy, bar the endlessly repetitive "get out of jail" stints.

If you're looking for a far better series of FPSs and haven't played them yet, I recommend Wolfenstein New Order and New Colossus which were on some mega deals recently.

I didn't find it too easy, I though it fantastic value for money.
But then I didn't spoil it for myself
The Evo forum really is a shadow of its former self. I remember when the internet was for the elite and now they seem to let any spastic on

Meh, I like flying helos in games, as I can't afford to in real life. :D

What did you think of the ending?
It does make playing the game afterwards seem strange and pointless.

I thought there were multiple endings?

I must finish this, but I spent all weekend upgrading the drives on my rig and NAS box and doing warcraft achievements

Seconded; the best single-player campaigns I've played in AGES, even allowing for my (considerable) pro-Wolfenstein slant as an old-skool iD fan.

Yeah New Colossus in particular had several "OMG! I can't believe what I've just seen/played!" moments, shocking/hilarious even to my jaded gamer eyes.

So my mum got me Far Cry 5 for my birthday and although I'm only about 2-3 hours in, I'm liking it a lot. 8-)
If you get all wobbly-lipped about the opinion of Internet strangers, maybe it's time to take a bath with the toaster as you'll never amount to sh1t anyway.
