Saw thus pop up on Lego’s Instagram- thought “that looks interesting”- then saw it costs £114.99. Then noticed if you wanted to display all 3 designs you’ll need 3 individual sets for £344.97. Then also noticed you need 3 sets to make the big picture, so if you want that and the 3 individual ones it’ll cost you £689.94- seems very expensive for what looks like a flat sheet and a load of single round studs

About time they made a proper job of it yeah, but that price is mental. Our staff sales are on hold cos Covid so I'm trying not to rack up a list of sets I want.. currently order list is over £600

I've said to my son that we'll get that one for Christmas. I think I'm probably as excited by it as he is

The Defender was a great set, but all the gears and engine parts made my head explode as to the planning that must go in to those Technic sets. Definitely my favourite set yet.

The last serious Technics kit I built was this... apparently that would have been 1994

Not necessarily in a good way - the studless beams are useful in small quantities, but I think studs make Lego. That supercar was pretty much the apogee of Technic Lego, in my opinion.

Studless models are also built in odd numbers (one single spine beam, with further beans attached symmetrically being the basic building block), hence the proliferation of 3l, 5l, 7l etc axles which (mostly) didn't exist back in the days of 8880.

So many good build die in the "Ideas" competition despite getting plenty of votes though.

I'm glad MOCs are appearing as sets with knock off bricks now.

Like the Rocinante from The Expanse.

On the expensive side but at least it can be bought rather than bricklinked.

Bought the ECTO-1 last month, and just gave in and ordered the Batmobile (and free Dickens tribute set). Paying full whack on both of these, which is upsetting, but I don't want to miss them.

We're getting a one off discount code from Lego for December, but it only allows "up to £200" orders so I'll get a few smaller items to take advantage oof that, probably the Fiat500 and a few others.

Think I'm having a Lego mid-life crisis, buying loads of the stuff lately.

The Lambo is on sale at Amazon for a bargain price folks £210!

Good value, but I want the Chiron at a similar discount! I have been given the Sian already and didn’t buy the Chiron when it was down to £200 last year. Lowest now is over £230.

Bought three Billy Bookcase today, having decided I need to turn the dining room into my Lego display area. Good job really, since I've spent a small fortune this past month or so. Assembly Square arrived today, kicking off what will no doubt turn into my Creator Expert street scene.

Also, browsing Lego.com as per, and saw this:

Looks like a good pairing with the 911RSR.
