I managed to place a back-order for the Spring Lantern Festival; that hasn't come up for the bonsai tree though.

The Bonsai is great, I have it on display in the front window:

The bonsai tree is quite cute

I'm sure I'd still manage to kill it though (as I have with the couple of real ones I've tried to look after)

My Pick-a-brick order from Jan 17th is still "In Warehouse". They're really not in any rush are they.

We've (brother and I) many sets like that. Are they worth decent money then? Not exactly those sets but probably about 10 or so similar to it.

I suspect they’re worth ~£100 each but the sets which go madly up in value aren’t necessarily as old.

Not Lego granted, but I picked up another toy this week. Not sure whether to build it or flip it yet

Those sets from the 80s are so damn iconic and the boxes take me straight back to my childhood.

I seem to have set a reminder in my calendar for the 911 set going on sale. That's a bad sign.
Cheers,

Mike.

There's a 911 review up here: https://brickset.com/article/57757/revi ... orsche-911

My Spring Lantern Festival arrived on Tuesday, before they said it would dispatch, so I've got it at last. No time to build it but at least it's here. As a consequence of the date of it becoming available, I now have two Year of the Ox models and two of the chocolate box and flower. Hope the free gift changes before I order the 911

I got the flowers and ox with my previous order so yeah, hoping it changes for March.

DHL message informing me I have a delivery on Monday, I can only assume it's my Pick a brick order, but Lego says it's still in warehouse.

The proportions are slightly off, the roof seems a little too low and the wheels are a tad too small, but otherwise it's pretty cool and I'll be getting it.

Reminder for any VIP folks, this opens up tomorrow. With some VIP goodies too I think. 8-)

The Evo forum really is a shadow of its former self. I remember when the internet was for the elite and now they seem to let any spastic on

The VIP items didn’t last long - a couple of minutes or so from what I’ve read online.

Ordered it as well, mainly for the free ice skating diorama - had to buy something else to top up to £150 to qualify for that. No VIP items though. Not bothered, frankly.

Just put my order in. Not bothered about the VIP gift either, just more clutter. Ordered the Stormtrooper helmet as well, to go with Boba Fett.

Let's see if they've managed to speed delivery up now..
