I've started a new contract with a bank for whom I moved their telephony to VOPI about 10 years ago and put a solution in place to get rid of fax machines as they used to have hundreds of them, especially for payment instructions. I've just been sent an inventory of analogue lines... which has hundreds of fax machines on it. FFS.

A different bank also had some funky, bespoke server build running critical services on OS/2 Warp quite recently. And a Novell 3.x server. All of these things are cursed and you must never even look at them for fear they will break.
