We've also just bought an Epson Ecotank (ET-2711 from JL). I nearly got a laser but needed colour and scanning facilities, and the footprint was too large for where it would be living, hence the Ecotank. So far I'm impressed.

Every inkjet we've had seems to need regular use. A month or so without printing and they gum up something rotten.

If you are not printing regularly, I'd recommend a laser printer.
The Evo forum really is a shadow of its former self. I remember when the internet was for the elite and now they seem to let any spastic on

IPads have Airprint already which should see and connect to the printer.
Ah brilliant! Cheers for that.

I was tempted by the laser colour, £220 for full colour laser is phenomenal. Will see how this one goes, it was cheap enough so will just make sure we printregularly. If I wasn't needing the PC and a bathroom etc I would have gone laser but sadly other priorities.

Cheers! I need to check with my 12 year old that it is fast enough but it looks spot on.

No worries, I did just turn round to my wife and mention "And he has a Porsche" although perhaps gallons of super unleaded leaves little left for IT? :D

Ha ha..... just no need for anything fancy. My old laptop does the job (just), and web surfing is done via iPad/phone, and the Xbox doubles up as entertainment centre. A PC is more like ‘a nice thing to have just because’ that’s all. Nathan has offered me something else so I may get that instead.

Yeah, I thought he was something to do with car auctions but perhaps he is branching out. Just waiting on confirmation on the HD and will be sending him many bags of revels.
