I couldn't find it on screen but just had a Spitfire and close companion 'plane fly low over the house, the Spit' then splitting, doing a couple of rolls, and scooting off at speed 8-)

Saw something a bit odd today.

Looked like a glider, very long spindly wings, but was flying straight and level and a noise like a single jet engine, unless there was a jet further away I couldn’t see.

Unfortunately I was arms deep in car parts and didn’t have time to get a vid or check the radar.
Cheers, Harry

^ 8-) Must've made a nice change to the usual sounds.

Just had three small prop planes fly over in formation, can see them on F24 or ADS-Bexchange :?
They might have been fighters, might not, but I can't even a lone plane that's flown that way :?

The company that owns the planes they were escorting apparently specialise in modified aircraft for border protection. They must have a base at Teesside because they’ve been out loads lately, about 3-4 aircraft- normally landing one after the other, looks weird on the tracker seeing them flying into the airport almost in convoy

and a couple of Spitfires - though I thought a couple more were up - and I heard something else interesting but can't find anything that seems to fit :(

All I saw was a silhouette at a distance, but it was a Lancaster so I consider that a win :D
It landed at Southend airport and Folkestone airshow is on tomorrow so I'll try and get a better view in the morning.

Noisy night. As if the massive thunderstorm wasn’t enough, we’ve just been buzzed twice at 6100ft by a Boeing B52 stratofortress. Sounds like it might be coming round a third time.

It did circle round again but a few miles away rather than right over us. There were two B52s visible in fact, both having come from Brize Norton and been to somewhere Middle East ish and back - the historic tracking was glitchy so I couldn’t see exactly where. At least the other didn’t buzz us. Noisy buggers.

I remember when bush started shock and awe when he moved into Iraq and Afghanistan they flew regularly over Teesside late evening and early night. Really unique noise
