I have a NAS that I store films and series etc .
I have a media PC running Win10 and Kodi that is connected to the telly.
I like how Kodi manages the media and helps me keep of track of what I’ve watched.
What I want is a way to watch the NAS files from my iPad in bed while keeping the info that Kodi knows. So if I watch a couple of eps from the NAS in bed on the iPad, Kodi on the media PC knows. And vice versa.
Is that doable?

Ah, just seen it works with Alexa too. I have Kodi on one RPi and MyMedia for Alexa on another, both accessing the same NAS (a USB drive on a third Pi). Looks like Plex can replace MyMedia and Kodi.

Re: Kodi type equivalent question?
FWIW I run OSMC (Kodi) on my RPi. However, I've the official Plex plugin installed that opens automatically on system start. The normal OSMC/Kodi media folders aren't setup at all. I also have it on my phone, laptop and Firestick in the bedroom. I picked up a Plex Pass in the Black Friday sales a couple of years back. I haven't looked back. It's awesome.
