Anyone selling an Xbox?

Post by Zonda_ »

I have a hankering to get back into gaming, my pc is not powerful enough for games and always enjoyed Halo and the like. I know Project Scarlett is due out within the year hence looking for a second hand one so I can upgrade if I get into it.

I’ve got one that I haven’t used for a couple of years, but if they’re £150 new then it wouldn’t be worth the hassle of selling it just in case I did want it again.

I saw that on PC World but it was out of stock everywhere, for some reason I thought Game had gone bust so didn’t look there. With it being the digital only edition, can anyone give me an idea of how many games it will hold. I have no idea how large these games are!

On average games are probably 25gb, some bigger, some smaller, so a 1tb should hold 30-40 games ish.

I'd probably pay £30 more for one with an optical drive to be able to buy secondhand games which should more than cover the higher initial outlay, plus save quite so much downloading...

Agreed - this looks like a decent package.

Yes, that’s what I’m leaning towards.

Is the One S faster than the standard Xbox? My launch edition one really struggles with new games in terms of stuttering and crashing.
How about not having a sig at all?

S has a slightly quicker gpu but don't know whether it improves performance at all or is just to allow 4K upscaling and HDR support.

According to what I’ve read Microsoft claim they are identical yet all the magazine tests found the One S to be faster and as has been mentioned it has the 4K up scaling.

Argos have put all theirs up to £250 again which is daft, they'll probably drop down again in a week or two.
