I’m only talking hypotheticals. This deal is pretty far from unanimously supported by those wanting to leave with a deal, so a simple that or no deal/stay doesn’t really give all the options yet.NotoriousREV wrote: ↑Thu Oct 24, 2019 12:34 pmWhat other available deal is there that you want to vote for?

Personally, I’d only back Lord Lucan riding in on Shergar with Maddie McCann with a message of world peace.Rich B wrote: ↑Thu Oct 24, 2019 12:45 pmI’m only talking hypotheticals. I think it should be a 4 option Referendum…
1. Stay
2. Go with Deal
3. Go with No Deal.
4. Lord Lucan riding in on Shergar with Maddie McCann with a message of world peace.
NEXT!

Re: Bye Bye Boris!
How’s Brexit going? A couple of days until the 100% definite deadline of October 31st, so presumably it’s all done
Brexit means Brexit etc.
Brexit means Brexit etc.
Re: Bye Bye Boris!
I'm sure Boris is busy looking for a ditch.
Re: Bye Bye Boris!
And it's good to see that £100m 'prepare for Brexit' money was well spent.
And all the coins they minted for it.
I mean, I use the phrase 'false bravado has got me this far' regularly but I'm not in government...

Re: Bye Bye Boris!
I don’t understand how the general election that Boris wants so much will help. They say it will end the stalemate but they’ll just risk losing their majority and MPs will still vote for Brexit in an individual capacity which will lead to the same shit show?
Also they’ve already started the no deal contra flow on the M20
Anyone else think that Brexiteer MPs should personally be liable to pay up for the millions of public money spunked away on adverts telling us to PREPARE on all the billboards, radio stations, Spotify, YouTube and television?

How about not having a sig at all?
Re: Bye Bye Boris!
Those "prepare" ads are a perfect microcosm of this whole fiasco.
Lots of money, a snappy hook, and absolutely no information/detail.
Prepare for what and when?!
Utterly pointless.

At least youll all be ready when / if it happens.
Re: Bye Bye Boris!
What majority? The government is 43 seats short of a majority.Mito Man wrote: ↑Mon Oct 28, 2019 10:29 am I don’t understand how the general election that Boris wants so much will help. I am amused that the SNP/Lib Dem proposal for a bill to fix an election on 9 December is being talked down by the Tories. Do they want a general election or not?
Re: Bye Bye Boris!
Yes, I keep forgetting about the DUP. I mean a full blown coalition scenario.

Re: Bye Bye Boris!
The Tory majority has been eroded away over their last elections, which they called, what I’m missing is why they now think it’s a good time to call another election and why this will not completely turn the Tories into a minority government?
Is there some strong polling somewhere which shows the Tories can snatch a majority?
It just seems to me that the opposition are correct in having a GE after a delayed Brexit because people will vote against the Tories through either a lack of Brexit delivery or not wanting Brexit at all.

Isn't the gamble that Labour will implode thus fragmenting the opposition?

Summer may be behind us, but it's not too late to pick-up a deal on a few T-shirts.

Polling has the Tories some way out in front. I don't think the theory that voters will suddenly walk away from them because they've missed 31st Oct stands much scrutiny. They've spun it in such a way that I wouldn't be surprised if they secured a proper majority.Orange Cola wrote: ↑Mon Oct 28, 2019 12:18 pm The Tory majority has been eroded away over their last elections, which they called, what I’m missing is why they now think it’s a good time to call another election and why this will not completely turn the Tories into a minority government?
