Yep...

Really enjoyed studying Marine Engineering (although my speciality was more River Systems).

How it’s far too complicated to do as a Job so I went into IT.

I once saw an entire crane tip into the sea on a field trim to the construction of New ferry harbour... 8-)

And here’s another good thing, you’ll PROBABLY have safe drinking water to take those meds with, if they’re available, for which there’s about a 40% chance

Brexit - Probably not the meds you need, but probably safe water

 I think we need a "fun stories on the job" thread. Have you read "This is not a drill" by Paul Carter?
Did I tell you about the time we dug up a 1000kg WW2 bomb? One of these: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/SC1000_bomb

Happily, the incident is listed on the wiki page (2008). I think "...destroyed in a semi-controlled explosion..." would be more appropriate given it trashed most of the site!

So if I’m one of the lucky 40%, I might be one of the 100000s that can’t wash my tablets down 😂

And, think of all the extra time you’ll have to gaze lovingly at your beautiful new BLUE passport when you’re stuck at boarder control for two and a half days!

And another great benefit of Brexit: if you drive to Europe after the assumed exit date you'll need an international certificate of insurance. It doesn't run for the duration of the policy and you'll have to provide the dates you're away, at least two weeks in advance. You'll presumably have to apply for each journey and vehicle.

You were always prudent to get a green card when driving in Europe anyway. The legal minimum cover provided automatically across the EU isn't your full cover.

Didn't know that. But the difference now is between "must have" and "nice to have".

And Brexit means Brexit, as well the chair of the Committee on Exiting the European Union knows.
