Bye Bye Boris!
Re: Bye Bye Boris!
I'd be willing to place a Charity £10 pound bet that not only will he still be in charge when the next election comes but that he'll also win...

Re: Bye Bye Boris!
Can you imagine if we could just have an election fought on policy with no sideshows? Theoretically possible next time around.
Re: Bye Bye Boris!
Fair comment! Still, it's a starting point.
Re: Bye Bye Boris!
I'm not so sure. The Conservatives are fairly ruthless at getting rid of a leader when they see them as an electoral liability. I wouldn't be surprised to see him gone anyway. As has been said, he doesn't really want to job anyway. Too much like hard work.

this prediction:
"With his own party seemingly restless at the way the opinion polls have collapsed, there's a strong possibility he will be replaced well before the next scheduled election."
Re: Bye Bye Boris!
That's not a prediction - 'strong possibility'
Re: Bye Bye Boris!
While there is no credible alternative to Johnson - not in terms of ability but in terms of profile - they won't look to get rid if him..

Re: Bye Bye Boris!
No credible alternative even from within the Tory party? I know politics in the UK is in a mess at the moment, but if you're saying that Boris is the most credible candidate across all parties then we are buggered.
Re: Bye Bye Boris!
pretty well summed up there
Re: Bye Bye Boris!
Hes doing a sterling job.
Re: Bye Bye Boris!
Bless him, he's trying his best...that's our Boris, cheeky and loveable!
Oui, je suis un motard.
Re: Bye Bye Boris!
I assume "sterling job" is a euphemism for stealing the family silver

Re: Bye Bye Boris!
Even our forthright, honourable friend Dominic Raab agrees!
Earlier, deputy PM Dominic Raab praised Mr Johnson's "ebullient, bouncy, optimistic, Tiggerish character", saying it "livens up" his speeches.
He said there was a "steeliness" to the prime minister, adding: "We work as a team", and he dismissed the criticism as Westminster "tittle tattle".

I now refuse to believe that Armando Iannucci does not have a hand in government strategy.
