Nothing to do with balance. Cars produce lift because air has to take a longer journey to flow over the top than to go underneath, they're basically a shit wing. Presumably they feel without the wing that it gets too light on its feet.

Anyone else look at aero kit on cars and wonder how can it add 000s lbs of pressure if it looks like you could tear it off with one hand ?

Does someone really have to explain how a structure can be strong in one direction while not being strong in others?
