Exactly this.
It's a brave new world boys! 😂

I can control temp or send cooking programs to the grill so it can cook based upon temp, timer or the meat probe. It's brilliant!
I can sit outside with a beer and not be bothered because I'm "Busy Cooking". Beware of the monster you may have unleased...
She doesn't understand the bloody toaster nevermind this thing. Sitting with a beer is still 😎🍻

I'm trying to work out when you'd want WiFi on a bbq? Surely the only time you'd want to change anything is after you've physically walked up and had a look at it?

They need to stick a webcam inside it so that way you can properly check on it remotely. Then they could make a whole live-streaming service where you broadcast your meat to the rest of the world. Call it Only Meat and then have a “rate my meat” section.
How about not having a sig at all?

That sounds bloody handy, I'm just doing some low and slow ribs again and I'm constantly having to tweak my knobs. :-D

It's more for long and low cooking which will have different temps and different stages of the cook. Worked a treat on the ribs and beef cheeks.

My mates new rig, made from his parents old cheapo gas BBQ that's been in a bush for 10 years and a "spare" oven shelf. Note the gas bottle still attached

Just roasted some potatoes in a skillet, smashed them, sprinkled with yesterday's ribmeat and mature cheddar. Roasted some onions and grilled a couple of ribeyes. Awesome!!

Bloody thing get through some wood pellets when you're running it hot. Trip to the shops this week!

Returned to Monkey with the neighbour tonight - lots of beers and a fire in a bucket. Not really BBQ material but now I smell like burned pallet and I'm happy.

I done a BBQ!

We only have a little Weber kettle BBQ, and it's a bit of PITA as you can't adjust the gap between the grill and the coals.

So it's either too hot, or not hot enough. It's only in the ideal window for a relatively small time.

Because I was cooking for 5 yesterday, I 'cheated' and part-cooked everything in the oven, only finishing them on the BBQ.

It worked a treat.

It was very basic compared with what you guys did, but I really enjoyed it, and everyone had a really nice meal/afternoon.

It feels SO good to be outside and warm again!

Have a look at 2 zone cooking (direct and indirect cooking) for Weber kettles Dave.

Zips put a load of handy links on the old forum which I used to get going.

My BBQ allows the coals to be raised and lowered. It was the reason I bought it.

Just about to fire it up now. Nothing fancy - just burgers, pork and apple sausages and some chicken kebabs.
