It might surprise you to know pilots can’t control wind gusts. Or the rest of the weather for that matter. RTFP.
So fvcking what?

So why did they instantly assume the pilot's a bellend rather than think fvck me it's windy? Especially in a country renowned for talking about the weather.

Easy now chaps, no stress, no worries.
Christ it's not difficult. Fear of flying is an irrational fear. People do not respond rationally when the fear kicks in.

I didn't get that, I must admit. 'Fuck we're going to die immediately' would seem a more appropriate kneejerk response

Really? Whilst my normal reaction is to go ultra quiet, and try to crush the armrests with my bare hands, I'm sure I've probably uttered "what the fvck is this cvnt playing at?" before now.

Hardest part of a failed landing and fly around was trying not to show to my son just how bloody terrified I was the second time around...

As someone who has flown millions of miles, and was terrified of flying for the worst part of a decade, it never even occurred to me to blame the pilot rather than the prevailing weather conditions :D

We’re flying home this afternoon. I’m hoping the work experience kid is on holiday for this one. I’m good with any kind of antics in the air, because air, but a massive fucking plane tooling about on the ground at 150 mph I could do without.

If there's one thing I've learned from flying with our lad it's to bury any signs of anxiety as deep as possible. He should enjoy it while it's fun. He's got the rest of his adult life to develop and deal with his own phobia if it happens

I thought at least you might get it  To be clear - people may utter things they don't necessarily mean when they're shitting their pants. They aren't thinking straight. It's a release.

A bit like when you stub your toe, or hammer your own finger - you may wish to physically or verbally assault the nearest person for the next 2 minutes, but it doesn't mean you blame them ;)

I'm normally pretty solid flying (I flew into and out of Des Moines enough times during the Tornado Season to be pretty calm in turbulence ) but this was a Ryanair flight and.... well, that's enough, I'll leave it there...

Fankyow. At any point did you think during the landing phase the pilot was chucking it around like Beany in his youth in a Sierra in a muddy field just for a bit of fun?

oops soz we didnt activate the safety thingy you paid for. Sorry about that...

AOA disagree warning not activated on some of the planes that were ordered with it. Another nail for boeing.

Yeah I saw that one. As I said before, Boeing are so screwed over this. I predict multiple lawsuits from families and carriers.

Not a max, not a technical fault, but still not a good time for something like this to happen in a Boeing

They’re still grounded aren’t they? Can’t be fun working there at the moment.

Impressive that they found this in testing, where they had presumably tested it internally and not found it.
