The Evo forum really is a shadow of its former self. I remember when the internet was for the elite and now they seem to let any spastic on

We bought some knives on impulse from Procook, I’ve no idea if they are anything amazing as they seemed a bit DFS with their sale set up, an extra 20% on a Wednesday afternoon etc.
They had a test area and the middle knife sliced through sweet potato like butter.
I’ll grab a wet stone soon and have a play.
Dave!

Re: DYELK
Our local supermarket is running a 'collect stickers and claim knives' thing to get people to bump up their shopping bills. The knives are SMEG branded and made in Germany apparently. I've had the big chef's knife a week and was initially impressed as the 'cut paper' test was passed with flying colours. I've had a number of SMEG appliances in houses over the past 15yrs and they've always been good to look at but fucking useless and poorly made - true to form within a week the chef's knife is rusted despite being stainless.
Good for generic crap jobs in the kitchen but not something I'm going to care about forever.

Duty system has changed though hasn't it? I was going to ask, given the price, if they're even currently shipping to the UK as many have stopped at present.
