Stickyish: Phone Pictures Thread
Re: Stickyish: Phone Pictures Thread
I'm amazed you like cats.
Re: Stickyish: Phone Pictures Thread
He's alright. This house would be swarming with rodents if it wasn't for that cat.
Re: Stickyish: Phone Pictures Thread
He's a handsome boy. I'm guessing he's a boy.
Re: Stickyish: Phone Pictures Thread
Thanks. He's a Burmese x Bengal and is a great family pet/fearsome killer. He seems a bit lonely though now at five years old so we're going to get a female to keep him company. Not sure what sort as yet. Maybe a British Blue.

Ok - so the quality of the photos from the iPhone XS is pretty special. Pretty massive jump up again from the 7 I had previously. Very sharp right to the corners and great detail retrieval from the shadows.
Looks nowhere near as contrasty and sharp on my rubbish lenovo work monitor as on the OLED screen of the iPhone though.

Went on holiday. Took loads of pics.
Re: Stickyish: Phone Pictures Thread
Well the camera on my phone is rubbish but I like this one of the business end of a TSR 2 at Duxford.

I thought you’d left the Landy engine running but then I realised it was just a fire.

That colour smoke is fine. Nothing to worry about.
Re: Stickyish: Phone Pictures Thread
I don't think that I messed with the colour at all tbh. Must be the light levels with the phone camera struggling to cope with the glare.

Last night at Battery Point, Hobart. Last fish of the trip.
The Evo forum really is a shadow of its former self. I remember when the internet was for the elite and now they seem to let any spastic on

Panorama mode on the XS is pretty special. The files are enormous (35MB) - the below is limited to about 1/4 resolution by imgur by the looks of it:
The inherent limitations of the lens size are still there in low light though - its pretty poor and just ramps up the pixellation rather than let the picture go blurry so you end up with a picture that looks like it came our of a Nokia circa 2002.
On a more automotive related note, my son was bought this for Christmas by his grandma (not the Bollinger) - clearly I enjoyed playing with it as much as he did

Here are some of my efforts, all taken on the same day last week.
Can see the camera struggling more with each picture.

How about not having a sig at all?
Re: Stickyish: Phone Pictures Thread
More noise but it did pretty damn well with the harbour shot I think.
Re: Stickyish: Phone Pictures Thread
Some crackers there.
Has anybody tried clip-on lenses for their phones?
And a picture of a toffee coo.

I swear to God you spend weeks planning these shots, then hours waiting for the right light, then capture on a Hasselblad H6D with several tens of thousands of pounds worth of glass, followed by hours In Photoshop...
