Seems like a big commitment, I'm sure I'll get used to it!

I didn’t even know there was such a thing as a red lab, what a lovely looking dog 😎

Dog looks like it has realized the situation it's in, what the future will hold, and has shut down.
Pup looks sad it couldn't go with you then.

Sadie (yes named after my eventually departing car) arrives this Sunday, taking about four weeks leave to look after her until she's vaccinated and can go to daycare :o

Dogs have kennel cough.. separated them when one started and hoped to limit cross contamination, but unsuccessful. Seems to be quite a lot of cases out there. My parents are adamant that there used to be an annual vaccination for it, but my dogs have never had it afaik.

Awful noise in the morning, but the cocker is over it and the lab is getting better.. 🤞🤞
Cheers,

Ian

Ours developed a cough and after 2 operations inspecting and flushing the lungs it never went. Bloody annoying cough too 😃

I see the rush to unload lockdown dogs has started. We might consider getting another although I am still not missing the responsibility. And cost.

They only get a kennel cough vaccine if you specifically ask for it, it’s not included as standard in annual boosters

Maya got it from her doggy daycare and Chico got it soon after. They both got rid of it quickly and have now had the vaccine.

I may be mis-reading this, but your dog passed away? If yes - condolences dude - that is always shit. :(

Is it still not the rule that after their last jab as a pup, it’s 2 weeks till the final one and then you wait till 2 weeks after for it to be fully affective ?

I know ours won’t be out of our garden till he is 12 weeks and visits to the pet shop etc he will be carried. It’s horrible if it grabs hold and gives them pneumonia.

I don’t know how true it is but lots of dogs were sold with no proof of their jabs, I was told by a breeder but no idea how true that is.

Yes bit rubbish but nearly made 10 years which is the target age when we got him so it wasnt too much of a shock / trauma. Still a bit crap tho. :)

Gorgeous 😎

Mrs mik has literally just left to go and pick up our younger dog from further surgery.

10 days after coming home from cruciate ligament surgery and doing well - Yelp - unable to put weight on the “good” leg. We had been told that if a dog suffers cruciate rupture on one rear leg, it’s likely that the other will go. Not normally within 10days though….

Surgeon was great - putting all her weight on the 10-days-after surgery rear leg was very likely to have bad consequences, so they fitted her in as an emergency in 2 days.

So now both done. 😕
