4 Paw Dog Drive Fleet running report
Re: 4 Paw Dog Drive Fleet running report
Sounds as positive as it can be which is good. I know its not exactly the same due to size, but one of our cats got hit by a car 10 years ago and lost a leg. He was back on his feet very quickly and adapted incredibly well. When he's moving fast, even as a 15 year old now, you can't really tell, its only when he is walking very slowly that its obvious. He's still a good hunter too. Animals adapt very well to adversity so hopefully he'll be running about before you know it.
Cheers,
Mike.

Any animal needing a big bit of work is as equal. If one of our cats was getting done then I think I’d feel similar but I’m more emotionally attached to Flash as I picked him from the litter and we bonded during our 7 hour drive home.
Today he ate a duck neck, his first decent bit of food in one go and his swelling has gone down massively, things are picking up !!

The short walks weren’t cutting it, he was still down and not eating much. So I took him for a 1 hour shlep and knackered him out. He then woke up limping and sore but wolfed down his first proper meal in 3 weeks
This was him this morning, just about to do his usual thing of doing the long route after calling him back, a 10 meter walk turned into a 100 meter loop so he could see what was making the noise

He's looks like he's doing so well Dave. Awesome stuff!
If you get all wobbly-lipped about the opinion of Internet strangers, maybe it's time to take a bath with the toaster as you'll never amount to sh1t anyway.

Sadly through a huge stroke of bad luck he has cancer in his front left leg too. We thought he had twisted it as he went a bit lame one morning when he got up. After some treatment as no-one even considered cancer again we had an x-ray and there it is, the same dark patch.
He is on pain meds but he isn’t himself again, if he isn’t groggy and the pain is blocked then we will have this next few days and then I’ll take him in to be put to sleep.
They don’t offer home visits at the minute sadly but they do have a seperate room with a sofa etc so you can be with him while they do it so at least he will go out relaxed getting a chest scratch.

Sorry to here that. Its the worst decision to have to make, but you always know it’s the right one.
When I had to take may they took a paw print for us, it’s a lovely reminder of her, even more so than any photo. It’s worth asking if your vet does that, if not it’s something you could do in advance
Once again sorry to hear about Flash

That's dreadful. I'm very sorry to hear that!
Re: 4 Paw Dog Drive Fleet running report
How about not having a sig at all?
Re: 4 Paw Dog Drive Fleet running report
It’s doing all the Dad/ husband shit which is so draining, not shed a tear yet as it won’t help the others but I’ll probably break down and sob like a fucker in a queue at Tesco’s
Thanks for the wishes, he is an amazing dog and we were lucky to have had him so I’m just keeping on that till we need to do the deed.
