It's because the 4 valve heads didn't fit between the wheel arches IIRC.

That V8 could never really handle making decent power, it only made around 300bhp in the Mustang. They would've been better with basically any other American V8 available at the time.

Too tall for the bonnet I think, it was apparently pointed out to the bosses at the time it’ll be rubbish and they just wanted to say it had a v8

One of my mates loves shit cars. He had one of these and it was surprisingly good. Currently in a 623i and Mondeo. :lol:

Oh my, the interior is gopping.

Not sure why the exterior is called 'frozen berry' when it's mainly blue/green. Porsche do a frozen berry from the factory now:

I think I'd like it without the wrap.
Frozen Berry on the 911 gives it a Fiat 500 vibe.

That Rover 75 would probably have done Newt well for a couple of months.
