Never ceases to amaze me that people can't spend three minutes reviewing what they've written and chauffer how it comes across.

I’d guess bids are coming in from speculators? (I can’t imagine that there are that many F1’s with missing or damaged tool sets? And I don’t believe those marks on the pliers are lube).

Buyer needs to pay an additional £300 minimum “buyers premium” to CollectingCars.

How many F1 have been destroyed? I can’t imagine an owner of one selling the tools so they must either have come from a scrapped car of they produced more tool kits than cars?

Mclaren F1 fanboys can be quite weird so no doubt they’re all after it.

@Zonda_ I would assume they made more tools than cars, but yeah - these could have come from one written of

@Mito Man that’s pretty tragic eh? “No I don’t have one, but check out this tool kit 😎”.

Lube probably was involved though.

"All of the tools remain in excellent condition, with the dark residue on the pliers being confirmed as protective lubricant, rather than corrosion."

Would one sniff it or taste it, to confirm?

Someone paid £950 (inc fees) for 5 spanners and a pair of definitely not corroded pliers. Hey - maybe the other elements of the Macca toolkit and the associated tool bag will come up in a future auction :geek:

@integrale_evo I guess that’s the premium for one without any protective lubricant on the pliers

For some reason my Mrs wants a little van.

I suggested an S cargo ( as I’ve always liked them ) she loved it, but not the £6k the two on eBay are up for at the moment 😢
