I didn't see the £90k one before, was it this? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/234541640252 ... Swhx9idY5z
If so, different seller and car :)

Nope, it was the same car, n722, he had a classified up at the same time as the auction.

That fke one had a hole in one of the front turrets you could fit your fist through. Far worse than the rust mine had / has. It would need a very very thorough inspection.

He’s obviously a finder / trader so I don’t get why 722 is so unoriginal for the money he seems to think it’s worth.

At least get the shit eBay front grilles off and source some correct motorsport stamped wheels for it. I’d go further and refit Oe suspension and brakes too.

I guess the problem is there’s so few that most are pretty well known so even if he did make it factory it would now always be knows as that one which was a track toy with coilovers etc.

Wasn't there something very particular about the GT wheels, IIRC they were forged like the Evo wheels, but had the "BMW MOTORSPORT" lettering on them like the 3.0 wheels ? They'll be impossible to find, which is probably why it doesn't have them.

They were the early stamped type but with a polished finish, pretty easy to replicate with a set of standard ones and an aftermarket refurb.

I expect a lot were actually delivered with the plain painted ones. I know I prefer them to the polished ones!

Many good points well made :) Looks like I chose the wrong year to think "you don't see those often".

Agreed! Other than the nasty steering wheel, that looks really tidy.

I like the zebra with the green outside, I also like the green door panels, but I'm not sure about the seats & panels together or how I'd do it instead. Green zebra with the green panels would probably be ideal.

In what way? Diameter, width, et, etc? What would you use instead? I'm asking because a/. if anyone knows what fits and works it's you, and b/. you've probably got a set (at least) :P
