Vans are cool, but these must be tiny, thus slightly defeating the point of a van ?

I recommend a Vito. Obviously :)

"needs good clean inside". To remove a particular smell? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/165568686865 ... SwIFFiyElv

I suggested an S cargo ( as I’ve always liked them ) she loved it, but not the £6k the two on eBay are up for at the moment 😢
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/353943427734 ... media=COPY

but wait! There may be another way (and another ep. of TLBS)...;

this company has long ceased trading and the compound left empty https://www.google.com/maps/@51.3141217 ... m2!1e4!1e1 except an S-Cargo turned up a fair while ago and has just sat round the back. I saw it purely by chance when I was driving up Bluebell Hill, glanced across and got a quick glimpse before the building got in the way. I don't think you can see going down the hill or from the petrol station parking, you need to follow the footpath round. It's been at least a month since I was that way, but going by how long it'd been there before then, and unless someone has taken over the plot, I can't imagine it's moved. Here's a better link of where the place is; https://www.google.com/maps/place/257+C ... m2!1e1!1e4

Also, how small is small, and how much does she need/want a van or would the utility of one suffice?

"Car have cracked windscreen,drivers side rear quarter damaged,car needs good clean inside,hole in carpet drivers side,"

You want £750 for a car that
  • needs a new windscreen
  • panel work,
  • probably new carpets, what with the hole and 'needing a good clean'
  • has been to the fucking moon and then halfway back
  • hasn't been on the road/had an MOT for a year and a half?
Fuck me used car prices are mental - that should be a £300-400 car tops in more sensible times.

That's how things go with barndoors, alas, even if they're not to one's taste...I might try and find some other pics of it, see what it was like before he got it.
This is more the sort of Samba I'd be likely to get these days;

Keeping the VW theme going, a Zwitter here, almost identical to the one we (my Dad, Gavster & I) had many years ago. One of the cars we all regret selling.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/134183251613

Next a nice E34 M5 in Sundayjumper-silver-black (I'll forgive the dash of colour on the seats):

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/225097754411

And finally a S3 Landie, I'm not sharing it because it's in any way nice, but rather for this part of the description:

"Engine runs but not a moment low on fuel"

It's an even more optimistic version of the classic "probably just a fuse" :lol:

How much was it? The listing has ended so no longer shows a price.

I'm assuming around six figures, because it's a 23 window barndoor, which is as rare as a credible political opposition party.

Oh fuck yeah £150k 😮 it's steep but I'm sure people were asking around £100k 5+ years ago and with such rarity you have an opportunity to test out what the top of the market is

I do like the unusual swb roof and back door on a lwb body combo. Don't think I've seen one like that before :lol:

Also the picture of a pile of dry rotted tyres, they're a must for any series landie tbh.

Normally I find Moggies (the Plus8) interesting/cool, but have little desire to own one.

This one is kinda funky though.
