Was there a Sell on Clause ??

Would love to know why the original winner didn’t take it and sell it on???

I'm thinking about my bike relationship at the moment. I'd not really appreciated how easy it is to have a convertible car compared to biking. I'm not getting any younger and see lots and lots of pictures of serious injuries and death on bikes so it's getting close to consider giving it up ownership wise. Going out and hiring one on a trackday is probably the future.

Pretty much all of my nutter mates are on more sensible bikes these days, but not really any slower, just a bit less stupid. Something to consider?

I tried with the KTM and really didnt gel at all. Cars I am happy going slower but bikes with no power - for example I rode a zxr400 over snake pass. I was too big for starters and the bike had fuck all go. We will see - life is a box of choccies altho us type 2s cant eat them

Neither the KTM or ZXR400 would be classed as sensible

I was thinking more upright, relaxed stuff, not necessarily slow & shit.

No clause I've been made aware of yet no, I suspect he was just a nice gentleman who'd rather see it used as intended. I've not ruled out selling it later this year though

Collection penciled in for Friday 10th.

If I get bitten by the bug I'll look at buying a van I think, then slowly upgrading it into a Moto/camper.

The GSXR isn't a bike you just want to nip out on, I found. You need a friendly bike that makes you want to ride for the sake of it perhaps? I'm still tempted to get Tenere 700 so I can go wandering down green lanes in Wales, rather than having to worry about camera vans all the time..

I've got to say the problem is putting on the gear and being in the right frame of mind.

You can't plan it.

If my other half liked bikes it wouldn't be an issue.

I definitely get that. When I was commuting it became just part of the routine so didn’t bother me after a while. Now I’m currently riding just for fun, it definitely happens less often. You sort of have to make it happen or it won’t. Jumping in the car is definitely easier, plus the Mrs can come along easily which makes the time easier to justify.

Maybe take a break and see if you miss it?

Car is deffo easier but I then get annoyed by all the slow morons that ruin progress 😂 Totally get the hassle issue though, if I go out it's usually for a decent run, is easy not to bother for a quick hour..

Bargainous zorst 8-)

Booked next Friday off to collect the CBR track weapon and other winnings. To celebrate I bought some Alpinestar GP Pro gloves. Bloody expensive but I got 20% off thanks to an Xmas voucher from my little sis. Which was nice.

Today was fairly mild and the roads were dry, I actually got to do some proper cornering..c'mon Spring time, hurry TF up.
