The Motorbikerist Thread
Re: The Motorbikerist Thread
I've seen reports they're working on an 800 CRF. Had a poke around the Tenere 700 yesterday, quite like it but it'll be December before demo bikes show up apparently.
Re: The Motorbikerist Thread
Me and the lad serviced the 748 today. New oil and filters, and replaced the clutch fluid - man that was as black as a Canadian Prime Minister! Fuck knows how long it had been in there.
Hopefully get some miles on it this week. I've pretty much decided it has to go in the spring.

Re: The Motorbikerist Thread
I managed to get the steering head nuts undone with liberal use of hammers.
Sadly, I wasn’t able to get the inner race off the stem itself, so a mate is popping round tomorrow with his fully kitted support van. Having the proper tools makes a big difference.

Aye - if something isn't getting used in preference to something that is, it's bye bye time.tim wrote: ↑Sat Sep 28, 2019 4:05 pm Me and the lad serviced the 748 today. Re: The Motorbikerist Thread
I've ridden it twice this year. The S1000R has fully taken over the type of riding I did on the Ducati, and as lovely as it is to look at and listen to on full chat, I'd rather sink the £4-5k it's worth into the two other bikes I have.
Re: The Motorbikerist Thread
Good plan Tim.
So no ride today as it's absolutely horrible outside.
Wsb on Eurosport will do instead.

BSB donington tomorrow practice. Might go and have a nosey. Been an amazing season so far. Shame Redding is off but he's brought a sparkle to it this season.
Follow him on Instagram if you don't already, he's absolutely bonkers.

Re: The Motorbikerist Thread
Redding is superb value. Did you see the video of him trying to get his knee down on a push bike? Hilarious.
Re: The Motorbikerist Thread
Aye Redding's a good'un, mad as a box of snakes

Having got up at 530 and gradually got less enthused about standing in the rain watching bikes tiptoe around donington I think I'll not bother

Re: The Motorbikerist Thread
Saw a bike that looked really cool the other day, had a look around and it's the Pikes Peak edition of the Ducati Multistrada.
Should really start paying more attention to bike stuff and buy something. Maybe pull the trigger next winter .

Meanwhile in Sheffield. Biker thinks it's nothing to do with him. Check black civic as soon as it joins the carriageway
Re: The Motorbikerist Thread
Ouch. Sense of speed is a bit difficult to gauge but on balance it appears he felt the need to show the Civic who was boss, and failed. Fault 100% with the knob in the civic though - he changed lanes into him, but the knob on the bike certainly contributed to his own demise.
Re: The Motorbikerist Thread
wow. TAUC in a Civic.
Re: The Motorbikerist Thread
Yes. Bellendery on both sides there. Epic from the Civic driver and moderate from the biker.
As I get older I just don't react to people like the Civic driver. I just let them crack on away from me as it's just not worth it.

Re: The Motorbikerist Thread
Yeah and doing 80 plus in a 40 isnt a good idea even when racing a car
Re: The Motorbikerist Thread
The car driver was being a dick, but the biker was the biggest bellend because he purposefully put himself into danger despite knowing he would always lose in a collision.
Leave these cunts be - if they want to get in an accident then let them, just don’t be in it.

Re: The Motorbikerist Thread
He lost the first drag race by quite a bit, what did he think would happen the second time
Granted, probably not near death!

How about not having a sig at all?

Don't race cars. If it goes wrong, you get squished.
