I quite liked that, two episodes in.

After Life S3 was brilliant. The Great S2 also bonkers and excellent.

2.5 eps into Afterlife S3 and I hope it picks up. S1 was one of the best TV shows I've ever watched. Perfect. S2 I was a bit underwhelmed by. S3 so far I'm finding distinctly "meh".

We watched the whole episode (E1 of Screw) but won’t go to E2. I couldn’t get past the concept that the head of the wing would happily let a probationer loose without any guidance or support - which is just stoopid.

Set was awesome though - all built in the Kelvin Hall in Glasgow.

Not yet, planning on watching it with the kids.
You won’t be disappointed. Some of the time-lapse sequences are just wonderful. Section at the end of the show to explain how they filmed it. Fabulous.
That Rio Claro in the second episode, with the lush green vegetation, fizzing with oxygen is my new happy place.
Does it end up becoming one of Attenborough's usual agendas on how we're all killing the planet?

EFA.

Yes.

But also, we are fucking up n the planet, so why make out that everything is rosy?

Kinda kills the happy place vibes as the camera presumably pans from lush green vegetation to a critically endangered bird choking on plastic

Yeah I hate it when these documentaries get stuff wrong like that :p

We’ve watched a few episodes of Screw now. I thought it was going to be like Time from last year with Sean Bean, but no. I then thought it was ITV because it’s a bit jokey and light for a drama set in a prison. Not sure what Ch4 are playing at with this one.

No it is a bit low-rent, but I'm quite enjoying the stupid nature of it 4 episodes in

A very nice ending to The Expanse now the question is do I jump into Book 1 to get more Expanse or Book 7?

Witcher enjoyable but sadly a bit incoherent imho and I've read all the books and completed all the games. Lorewise I'm not sure if they're just adapting it poorly and out of order or actually creating their own Witcherverse, and if so, why?

Re expanse, the series follows the major plot points but there are multiple detail changes that continue into the latter books. If you've got the time (and they're good page turners - this isn't have of thrones stuff) then start from book one.

I'm quite enjoying it despite my review above. The inevitability of the TV being broken is so ITV though; you'd expect Ch4 to use less hackneyed scripts.

Quite enjoyed After Life. Not for everyone, but that's RG for you. Some of the character acting was very funny, the teacher date especially.

Time poor but still quite tempted to dive into the series. Haven't read anything that long since The Witcher's 5 books at that was mostly audio while commuting.

To be honest, at a couple of hours aside an evening, you can probably get through the Expanse in about a month. It's genuinely an easy read.

Not done the audio books, might work better - I'm terrible at following audio books for books I haven't read so I dunno if that'd work better for you

Red Elvis on Sky Documentaries

Story of the American singer, Dean Reed’s life, his socialist ideals, living behind the Iron Curtain and ultimate death, in all probability, at the hands of the East German Stasi

I must confess, I’d never heard of him and based on his life, you’d think he’d be better known. Very interesting story and well worth a watch
