I quite like the "Explorer"

I like that a lot. Pretty cheap too.

I'm currently wearing a Garmin Forerunner asa daily and keeping my Tag for best.
If you get all wobbly-lipped about the opinion of Internet strangers, maybe it's time to take a bath with the toaster as you'll never amount to sh1t anyway.

The Pagani Explorer does look nice, although the blue sunburst dial + black bezel looks a bit odd in real life (IMO) - there's a photo on their AliExpress store that shows it on a wrist in daylight.

The above is personal preference of course.

We've been through that :)

Just warning others that it looks considerably different in daylight vs the studio/marketing photos

There's a new, 40mm Pagani Submariner "homage" that's just been released (their current Sub-homage is a 43mm case)

It's not on their official Ali Express site yet, and it comes in two odd colourways (blue/black dial + black bezel, black dial + blue bezel)

You can see it here: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4001131011440.html

Once they do a black dial + black bezel I think I'll get one...

Surely it's better to go for a colour that Rolex don't offer so that you're avoiding the rip-off look a bit?

Yeah, if I were going for an actual Rolex look the smurf would be high up the list - I did have a nose at the Daytonas as well and they actually improve on Rolex's own model by having a date

A favourite (cheap) watch channel on YouTube has just done a review of the Pagani GMT if you're interested:

I love Jody's channel. The only watch channel I still watch regularly. He's reviewed a few Paganis previously so I'll enjoy watching this one tonight.

Yep Jodie's great and I enjoy watching his channel. Don't think I'll be getting a Pagani watch though!

How about a Parnis instead?

I haven't watched that yet but the Pagani definitely looks a better Rolex copy on the thumbnail.

Sub homages (or modern Subs actually) don't really appeal to me, although this Invicta (shock horror) isn't awful and not having Mercedes hands is a positive IMO

The face/hands etc of that Invicta looks good - the bracelet looks pants compared to the Pagani one though.

And I'd worry that 14mm thick + a NATO would be too thick (I know that some Seikos I have look great on a NATO, but they stand really proud of it)

If it was a couple of mm thinner, I'd be in for that though...

Yeah 14mm would be to thick for me as well really.

I really like these new Seiko 5s. They look very much like the Tudor Black Bay 36/41 and if these were available six months ago when I started looking for a watch I'd probably have got one of these (although I'd prefer smaller than 40mm and it's a lot of money for a Seiko 5)

Re the video that Pete linked to...

Oops :)

A big part of the purchase was seeing what it looks like with the loom:

I've got a few Seikos now, and the 40mm size of this one really appealed.

I might have also ordered that Pagani Sub homage (the new 40mm one).

I think that's enough watches for a while now...
