Did you ever put your money where your mouth is? :)
Was thinking about the Laureato today and wondered if you got one.

As it turned out I did, well didn't, I guess if we're talking about the GP.

I ended up going a bit left field and buying a Panerai Radiomir 992 - an 8 day manual winder limited edition. I tried it on in their boutique and fell in love... well not with the standard tan strap which I had them swap out for a crocodile strap and promptly undid half of what the designers were doing with the limited edition

It has an in house movement, blued hands, sandwich dial and a kind of satin case. 45mm which I thought would be just too big but in real life its very low profile and you hardly know you're wearing it.

Nice -😎 - there are a few Panny’s that I like, but none of them are in the price range I like to play in. 😁

My Alpina is 44mm, which I would have considered “too big” in the past, but it wears very nicely.

For those wanting a cheap watch to keep the expensive stuff nice these look great for £28

https://braun-clocks.com/collections/special-buy

There’s a couple of options all coming with a couple of straps. Don’t know if they’re any good but look great for the money

Like Pete, I’d wondered if you got a Laureato. I see they’re now hard to find with a waiting list. World has gone mad; the Panerai is much nicer.

Is the manual winding irritating? It’s obviously only once a week so probably not.

Yes weirdly not irritating in the slightest - I actually look forward to it! The large crown and very mechanical feeling of the cogs winding the mainspring make it a pleasure.

I guess if it didn’t have a crazy 8 day reserve and I had to do it three times a week the novelty would probably wear off…

I like that although I think I'd have left it on the tan strap, but I suppose the darker strap is a little more "business" if that was your aim.

Saw that and ordered, with the blue second strap.

It's not the nicest, they'd have been better doing something like this

If you’ve always wanted an Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch but found it a little bit expensive and dull in colour then Swatch have the answer

https://www.swatch.com/en-gb/biocerami ... watch.html

I think they are great, Saturn for me please

If I owned a real Speedmaster I think I'd be pretty pissed off that they've done this. As I don't, I may buy one!

I like that. On the rare occasion I wear a watch out out I usually opt for the blue Swatch Sistem 51 that someone on here mentioned 8-)

Which reminds me that I haven't worn my Tag Monaco for years and should move it on.

I love these new Swatch/Omega moonwatches

However, the limited nature and the general hype around watches nowadays, means they may as well be made from unobtainium, as the chances of getting one at or close to retail are slim to none

Sadly

They've make great everyday/beaters IMO

This week's hypebeast watch IMO - wonder what we'll see them going for on eBay in a days' time?

(Those Bamford/Casio G-Shocks seem to be holding at around the £500-600 mark, for comparison)

I like it but I'm not queuing for one. Simple as that.
How about not having a sig at all?
