Got no idea what you'll be offered for the Bremont but as a guessing game I'll say £1900.
I was happy to get £2500 against the Monaco Gulf, which I'll get in 6-8 weeks. Watts at Derby got the business - a very pleasant firm to deal with.

That's a good amount and will be a lot easier than selling it yourself.

Idly flipping through watches on my night shifts. After, mostly, something that apes my father's gorgeous 1966 Seamaster - clean lines, silver face, leather strap.

e.g. https://www.chrono24.co.uk/omega/omega- ... 819511.htm

Although buying 2nd hand watches is a bit of a new world to me? Any tips? I guess it is better to go and try on in a shop rather than just scooping one up online.

There’s a lot of risk in buying used - fakes, not working properly, replacement parts, over-polishing etc. I’d only want to buy used from a reputable dealer or someone I know. Or do as I did, chuck £1500 at some cunt on here to drive to the other side of Scotland and pick up a second hand watch sourced from an unknown bloke on another car forum 😂

The Aqua Terra is lovely; you do find deals on new Omegas so I’d check out buying new as well.

As a post script to this, I've just been in town and seen my old Bremont in Watts' window at £2750. I assume there is enough profit in the TAG I'll be getting to make this modest mark-up acceptable.

Very similar to that one is on my wish list for very similar reasons. I have a ‘62 Seamaster and looking for a
modern equivalent

Perhaps it's seeing dad wear it as a youth that set my opinions but I was never really taken with chunky dials and metal straps. I kick myself on an almost daily basis for having lost mine.

This might be worth buying, putting in the back of a drawer and forgetting about for a few years.

Not convinced the reductions are real - they’re selling this for £279 when I bought mine a few years ago from Creation Watches for less than a third of that: https://www.watchnation.com/product/sei ... oms-watch/

I’ve had more than my fair share of Swatches so it looks quite restrained to me :D

I received a new watch for Christmas. Not particularly restrained. I love the multicoloured Pride edition band and discovered you can have a rainbow face too 8-)

Now Apple have solved the issue which ruined my earlier Apple Watch (not being able to tell the time unless you made an exaggerated gesture to wake up the screen/dial) I like it a lot more. Will probably turn off all the notifications because it’s never going to be the only watch I wear. I’ve got a Nike sport band as well which I’ll stick on for cycling, to avoid getting this one grubby.

A nice reduction on this Hamilton American Classic Intra-Matic. Always liked the look of these.
