@drcarlos you've probably heard this before, but just in case you haven't it's online for another ten days;

Grasshead Racers.

Legendary motor racing commentator Murray Walker explores the most democratic of motor sports: lawnmower racing.

On the day of the annual 12 hour lawnmower race Murray Walker samples a sport which has attracted both Stirling Moss and Oliver Reed. As the grasshead racers gun their Atcos and Quizcasts round a field in Dorset at a dizzying 35 mph, Murray is moved to pick up his commentator's microphone once more to describe this most spectacular, and democratic, of motor sports.

With contributions from:
Mark Constandurous
Mike and Satu Cresswell
Sir Stirling Moss
Brian Radam
Bruce Kaufman

Producer: Julian May

First broadcast on BBC Radio 4 in 2004.

All I'm taking from this as I watch it Mik, is that you're FUCKED if you're ever on a sinking ship.

Yeah - close friend of Mrs mik (one of her bridesmaids) and her hubby were on the Greek ferry that went down circa 2000. Ship on autopilot without any crew on the bridge. Faulty systems meant the feckin evacuation alarm didn’t sound. Absolute chaos and panic. She’s never been able to speak about it to us in any detail. 85+ folks died that night.

Probably partly why that vid gives my such heebies….. :?

The joint at which a truss is designed to be supported is commonly referred to as the Munter Point.
