The Weather Thread.
Re: The Weather Thread.
I've watched the moon rise, I've watched the sun rise. That's enough for one day, isn't it?
Re: The Weather Thread.
Thunder! Lightning! Hail! It's all a bit angry and intense.
Re: The Weather Thread.
Full moon (and tomorrow, and 98% Wed.), clear sky, no night

Look how bad the traffic is https://www.google.com/maps/@51.572637, ... a=!5m1!1e1 and it only gets worse when you zoom in or out. 30° and rush hour still to come, I wouldn't want to be in that
Re: The Weather Thread.
Well shit, I'm driving through that soon. In the 6 series with it's love for overheating. Better get the recovery details ready.
How about not having a sig at all?
Re: The Weather Thread.
Oohf'k, good luck.

Re: The Weather Thread.
This morning it was pretty cloudy and I was disappointed I’d not shuffled the driveway to be able to take the ‘sud.
That cleared pretty quickly and I was soon glad I hadnt. It’s like a proper greenhouse with terrible ventilation and heat soak from the mechanicals

Re: The Weather Thread.
That's the problem with old(er) cars, though at least aftermarket ac is more readily available and less expensive than it was.

Re: The Weather Thread.
I have been considering aftermarket ac, but only to the point of wondering if it would physically fit, not actually looking into prices
I’d quite happily have the Mk2 golf as a daily driver if it had AC.

Re: The Weather Thread.
I drove back to North Yorkshire yesterday from the Cotswolds and it took me over 6hrs. It was a horrid drive home
Re: The Weather Thread.
I don’t think I could survive without AC in a car. It’s not like the old days when roads were freely flowing and the weather was a bit cooler. It feels like at least once I week I get caught up in a massive traffic jam for over a few hours at least.
How about not having a sig at all?
Re: The Weather Thread.
I use AC less this time of year tbh. I take the opportunity to open the windows.
Re: The Weather Thread.
What a difference a day makes
I'm surprised you don't have a collection of factory bits ready to retro fitintegrale_evo wrote: ↑Sat Jun 18, 2022 1:03 pm I’d quite happily have the Mk2 golf as a daily driver if it had AC.

Nah, the vw fanboys hoover up all the rare bits for crazy money.

Re: The Weather Thread.
I was hopeful of a breaker's yard find from a long time back picked up for suitable scrapyard money
Re: The Weather Thread.
I've spent so long trying to decide where to watch the sun rise it's now too late to get anywhere
Happy Summer Solstice everyone

I woke up at 0330 and haven't been able to get to sleep since. Fuck the solstice.
Re: The Weather Thread.
The dawn cacophony, the RedBull powered toddler sibling of the dawn chorus
I think the birds here mostly woke up, stretched, saw the clear half moon in a slightly different part of the sky, turned round and went back to sleep.

Dropped the car off for MOT, was thinking of walking back up the hill home but it's 20+degC already, so fuck that noise I'm getting a taxi!
