He left himself wide open for that.

We had a fair bit of settling snow in the night. It warmed up just enough for the falling snow to turn to rain though, so currently it's very wet and murky, and doubtless cold enough for lots of icy patches.

Couple of inches of snow this morning - I had fun making the Haldex 4wd work. In normal conditions it's annoying because it allows a bit of front wheel slip before shifting power rearwards, but in the snow it works much more effectively. Sufficient power goes to the rear for nice powerslides out of the snowy junctions. I'm quite surprised how keen a frumpy estate car is to play, too :)

Once I’d cleared enough of my driveway this morning to be able to get my car off it (after 3 or 4 failed attempts), the 15 or so miles to Guildford was ok.

The limited amount of snow in my photo was enough to cause my stepdaughter's school to be closed. Bunch of snowflakes.

Tyres were fine today. Far too good in the partially cleared car park too, couldn't get it to spin up without being overly aggressive :(

Just a light dusting of snow, much like the rest of you.

Luckily I made it across the snowy Surrey Hills, no doubt helped by the rally spec black bonnet

Light frost here in the north-west but we still have the settled snow from earlier in the week. Roads are clear, though. It's a shame, I was hoping for more chaos so I could "work" from home.

Quite a lot settled over night in Ascot - it didn’t start snowing until about midnight -the roads were ok, but not great.

My 70 mile drive to the hospital was uneventful and I got seen on time for the first time ever so I guess most people are “snowed in” - except there must have been some panic buying going on as the supermarket car parks were packed on a Friday morning.
Most surprising thing was the amount of stranded cars which had fallen into ditches, probably due to people overestimating how wide the roads are.
How about not having a sig at all?

Fingers crossed it has all pissed off by tomorrow afternoon as I’ve got to get the M4 out of the carpark at Heathrow after a week of gentle freezing/defrosting/re-freezing and drive home.

If the car park’s empty however!.... 🚗💨💨🍩

Snowed here today enough to make roads slightly challenging- it slushed, compressed and froze pretty rapidly so became quite icy. When I left work I passed 3 multiple vehicle collisions within less than a minute. Seems half of the people on the roads suddenly forgot how to drive......

Drove to job and within 4 miles there was no snow at all, couldn’t believe it

Set my alarm an hour early just in case there was a lot.

Looked out of the window and went back to bed. This was the extent of the snow 🙁

Snow causes road and rail 'gridlock' in Basingstoke http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-hampshire-47094588

Carnage out there yesterday. All the roads around Hook were blocked with stranded cars. Muppets.
Left over crest; tightens.
