Absolutely bloody awesome!!!
You can tell physically he is struggling but when he sings and plays piano he gives it everything. At the end of one song he needed 10 seconds or so to recover.
The playing was amazing, his singing was fantastic and the band were very very slick. If you can get to it then definitely go, it was amazing.
7th row back and right in the centre

Elton John Farewell Tour
Re: Elton John Farewell Tour
Nice.
I have no interest in Elton, but your description reminds me very much of 3yrs ago going to Burt Bacharach (who was 91 at the time) playing the tiny Kelvingrove Bandstand, outside, on a balmy summer evening. We were in the 3rd row.
Despite his now-failing voice, and an inability to even sit up straight at the piano (he had to be helped to walk to it) he could still play beautifully, and had some very professional supporting musicians. Told some excellent anecdotes too . Truly special.

It's amazing how one's perception of someone can be changed so quickly isn't it?
