The Scimitar’s tank is 21.3 gallons - that’s a sniff short of 97 litres

And I had to go away and check the Galaxie. It’s 25 US gallons, about 95 litres. Which doesn’t seem all that much for the size & thirst of the thing.

Did you manage to horde fuel by filling all your cars’ tanks?

I took my Jimny down to Flewy after not using it for a few months. Was so pleased to find I’d left it with a full tank of petrol

It's a shame a lot of our local filling stations haven't figured out yet that they need to up the payment limit. I filled up the Superb last week and it stopped pumping at £99.

No diesel or E10 at Tesco in Handforth this lunchtime. Thankfully I only require the good stuff that was available. Not bad price either compared to recently - I think it was about the £1.60 mark - I wasn't really paying attention.

Looks like everything is drying up round this way. My local place has been expecting a delivery for a couple of days and have been getting blanked by their supplier.

Apparently it is due to protestorists blockading fuel depots. Interesting that the news has been quiet on it, presumably to try and damp down panic buying. South and Scotland seem to be worst affected.

Cambridge is bonkers for petrol today apparently, presumably because it is full of easily frightened people. I’m up North right now and having zero problems.

I presume it’s pretty localised.

Cambridge to drive is a crap hole and diesel prices are 10p a litre more there than they were in Peterbosnia last week.

It’s been rubbish around here for over a week. No diesel anywhere, shell totally out, Tesco has only got e5 and only at some pumps.

Haven’t seen any panic buying or queues, just pumps running dry.

The big Tesco & Sainsbury's near here were both out of diesel today. Sainsbury's had a huge queue for petrol. Normal Shell station in Sandhurst (that's always a couple of pence more per litre) had everything available and no queue. The extra £2 on a full tank seemed OK compared to not having anything at all.

After a couple of weeks religiously checking PetrolPrices.com, now I just fill up if there’s fuel available and don’t care about a few pence per litre.
