Make protein based alternatives as tasty, and sure, defund meat.

Get a non-animals based burger to taste as good as a supermarket mid range burger, at the same (or ideally, less) price and you can just fuck the ethics and flat out undercut them. I mean, it's not like you have to feed a cow for three years if your burger comes out of a vat.

There are simple economics at play here that the 'caring' billionaires could fund entirely, out of pocket, for years, but ego boosting space trips are 'more important'....

I'm not even joking. Musk and Bezos, between them, if they actually funded lab grown meat, could knock a substantial proportion of greenhouse gases from meat farming, and it would make more of a difference (likely an order of magnitude) than literally everyone being given an electric car or lorry tomorrow, forever, for free.

I tried the plant based Whopper at Burger King and I think it's better than the actual meat version. I think the patty is by impossible burger but sadly they don't sell that in supermarkets.

Yeah, I thought it was very good as well. The KFC Quorn burger is really impressive. Not tried the McDonald's offering yet, but apparently it's similar to a normal Beyond burger, which isn't a bad thing.
