Euro 2020
Re: Euro 2020
Yeah, I'm sure that Southgate had a plan and it keeps coming back to the fact that it's the best result for an England team in like 55 years. They did a good job.

Re: Euro 2020
He was right to put Rashford on one because he's a good pen taker, but I would have rather had some more experienced players in place of Sancho and Saka. I don't know why in those incredibly pressured situations players go for technique based pens, very few players can maintain the accuracy under that pressure. They just need to get their heads over the ball and blast it. I'd have given those last two to Stones and Pickford.

Pickford would certainly have blasted it.
One of the Italian pens was straight down the middle wasn't it?
Unfortunate that Rashford hit the post and the big man went the right way for the other two saves.

Left over crest; tightens.

Let's be honest, you could fire a ball straight into Italian lurch's face and he'd shrug it off you need to do something to throw him off

This makes for an interesting read...
I thought Grealish didn't look at all confident in the huddle, so no surprise he didn't take one. Sterling is incredibly talented, but a few times last night when he got in to the Italian box, he just seemed to be waiting for contact so he could go down rather than just having a shot.
