Needs some better cars and some organisation to justify real garage envy, but yep, grateful for some space for things in this place.

I'm going from a "Garage and a half" to "Half a Garage" so I'm already on the lookout for a shed / workshop. I have the space thankfully for a decent size one.

From a security point of view you should sort those emergency release cords out. From outside it's very easy to poke a coat hanger through the gap in the top to hook the cord and let yourself in...

PS This place has a "shotgun" garage, double but not side by side, never realised that was a thing.

I love it!

That's known as a tandem garage here. Not uncommon. Probably not convenient if you ever want to put 2 cars in.

I was about to say the same.

And "tandem" makes a lot more sense than "shotgun" if you think about it !

Maybe it's pump action, with the cartridges lined in a row?

And “pump action garage” would have sounded like “sex dungeon”?

Anyone used Birkdale? I picked up their leaflet in CostCo yesterday. Do sectional as well as roller doors and front doors to match. 50mm insulated panels.

Bump.

Got a quote at just under £3k for a what looks like a decent spec* double width roller door. Sound about right?

Seems ok, I think I paid £1100 for a small insulated single about 3 or 4 yrs ago.
