No F1 thread?
Re: No F1 thread?
No kidding.
I meant that you are listening to the pundits discussing something they are reviewing in their big interactive telly, but watching the regular feed.

Perez is out of Racing Point at the end of the season.
Vettel announces he's joining Aston Martin at Ferrari's 1,000th race?

I am not sure I would take Seb over Sergio. I guess Lance is there until he retires though so only really leaves the one seat. (not that Lance is a terrible driver but he is not in the same league as some of the up and coming drivers - Russel, Norris etc.)

Re: No F1 thread?
Unless Vettel can attract bigger sponsors it seems like a questionable decision from Racing Point. I can't see him dragging a midfield car home for points any better than Perez.
Re: No F1 thread?
Good move by Vettel. Moving from one of the slowest teams in F1 to upper midfield
Oui, je suis un motard.
Re: No F1 thread?
Perez seems like a safer pair of hands but I guess Vettel does bring more sponsorship and also is a more recognisable face for promoting Aston Martin.
Re: No F1 thread?
Perez has had his chance imo. He's a decent driver but he's never going to win a championship, so time to move on.
I don't think Seb is necessarily the answer, but so long as he can get a new attitude from the move, then he's definitely capable.

I see it’s official now - I’m curious if Vettel’s previous form returns or if he really is past it. Wonder how long Stroll will stay committed or if it’s just a hobby for him and his son for a decade until they both walk away from it.

I think it will depend how he gets on with the new rules cars in the future. The recent cars haven't suited his driving style and he's struggled to adapt. It could be potentially be a smart move if the investment is there and he can build the team around him.
If you get all wobbly-lipped about the opinion of Internet strangers, maybe it's time to take a bath with the toaster as you'll never amount to sh1t anyway.
Re: No F1 thread?
It's going to be great, with Vettel's overtaking he's going to be like a wrecking ball in that midfield.
Re: No F1 thread?
That’s if he survives until then. Announcing his new team on the run up to Ferrari’s big party. Brave man

Wonder where Perez will go? I reckon either Alfa Romeo or Haas. Haas have been interested in him previously, but I think Alfa will be a better bet given the forthcoming budget restrictions as they're more used to working on a tight budget.
