And potentially giving Hamilton a 10 place grid drop for missing the awards ceremony.

That would be a bad way to start the season and seems petty.

Hope so. But the interview with the new president isn't very conciliatory, so could be on the cards.

It was very odd. Started off rambling about "forgiveness is always there" but then ended with "there is no forgiveness."
Eh what

Death threats to Latifi. Not entirely unexpected but truly pathetic.

That's just ridiculous and disappointing. That it isn't even uncommon, but to be expected is a shameful indictment of how some people act.

I am on an F1 group on FB and any thread on pretty much any subject will go 3 or 4 posts before some erse posts about how crap MV or LH is. MV is going to pop the No1 on his car - 4 comments down "A true champion wouldn't need to put that on his car - LH true champ" Someone should hunt these people down and ensure they don't have children.

https://www.motorsportmagazine.com/arti ... his-f1-car

That’s his reason for not using no.1, but he has used it in 2009 before you could pick your own number.

If I was max I’d take the number 1, you never know it might be his only opportunity, but I think he’ll be champion a few times in his career

It wasn't Latifi's fault anyway. Mick pushed him wide which made Latifi's tyres lose grip resulting in the eventual oversteery crash. This was a premeditated attack by Mick to prevent Hamilton surpassing his father's record. Therefore they should start sending death threats to Mick.

Have we agreed on a "Hey guys, I am going for some sarcasm here" emoji or are we still relying on you to point out the fucking obvious?

So if Hamilton doesn't return as is being rumoured, who do Mercedes put in the car?

He's coming back, he's just being a bit of a drama queen to draw further parallels to Senna following a similar shitshow in the end of the 1989 season.

I saw something the other day that said Mercedes was keeping options open for Bottas if Lewis does retire

It's a crappy rumour as far as I'm concerned.

I don't think he'd walk away from Mercedes and leave them in limbo like that.

Not F1, but Dakar driver gets 5min penalty for knocking over bike and then just driving off.
