No F1 thread?
Re: No F1 thread?
I can see how some people could get their dating profiles mixed up nowadays and get a surprise when the time comes!

Hamilton sounds very breathless in the team radio, like he’s struggling to speak

Red Bull expected to confirm Perez for next year according to Ted Kravitz

Re: No F1 thread?
He seems like a nice lad, but his gap to his team mate is by far the biggest on the grid, and before yesterdays race had shown little sign of improvement through the rest of the year.
He’s in what’s easily the second best car on the grid and there’s little excuse for not being 4th in the driver standings.

Re: No F1 thread?
Yeah but, he was on par wasn't he with the likes of Leclerc, Norris, Russell etc prior to F1? There seems to be something about that 2nd seat at Red Bull that sets drivers back, especially since Max became no.1 driver.
Re: No F1 thread?
Having a quick look at his racing record I wouldn’t say he’s on a par with Leclerc, Norris or Russell. They all won multiple championships in their junior careers.

Re: No F1 thread?
Jolyon Palmer won gp2, so junior success doesn’t necessarily make a good f1 driver
Re: No F1 thread?
He really needed to kick on in the second part of this session. He's had long enough in the car now, so unfortunately he's run out of excuses.
It will be interesting to see if Checo can get close to Max though, Max must be sneaking down and pissing in his team mates fuel tanks or something.

Re: No F1 thread?
Seems like he could never drive the car on a full tank of fuel in race pace - usually came alive in the last third of a race.
Likewise he couldn’t drive it on the absolute limit as required in qualifying or he’d just bin it.

Maybe it's a bit of a dog and MV is just capable of getting the absolute best out of it. A bit like Stoner on the Ducati, way back when.
