JB's on it as well

Would love to see George get the drive but I really don't think it will happen - can it even happen? Will there be something in his contract with WIlliams that permits it?

Mik's tip-ex collection only shows him to do the hard tyre, so they decided to go elsewhere. :(

Don’t know if it was mentioned in this thread, but Ben Edwards is leaving c4 at the end of the season.

Sad times, I thought him and DC were a great pairing. Don’t think there’s any word on his replacement yet.

James Allen? God no! I would guess the 5 Live guy, although Crazy Dave may not be keen.

I was surprised about Ben too. Reading his quotes it genuinely feels like he is ready to step off the merry-go-round, can't say I blame him if he can afford to and has enough other stuff going on to keep him interested.

AFAIK yes. I wouldn't be surprised if C4/Whisper are keeping their hand in to see what happens when Bernie's Sky deal comes to a close.

The Hulk has to be in the mix too? He's probably the safest point scoring option, but no one really learns anything from using him.

My shout is that DC will do a Brundle and become lead commentator and Webber will join him (he seems to have been joining Edwards and DC in the commentary box quite a lot this season).

Brilliant, would have made zero sense to not have a £return to the mothership" clause in any contract, just in case of mid season illness or injury etc.

@Marv there is no pressure on him. Nobody will expect him to get close to an established driver over one weekend. If he gets within half a second he will be lauded. If he does get close or beat him then he possibly wins a 2022 seat, unless Mercedes decide to go VB & GR for next year and save the $40M odd they pay Hamilton.... :D

That's awesome. And Mick Schumacher confirmed 8-)

I really hope GR doesn't bin it on the sighting lap or get in a first lap incident.

This is great news. Very pleased for him and hope he does well. I'll actually look forward to watching this weekend to see how he does.

Awesome - what an opportunity for him.

Worst car on the grid to best in the space of 7 days - question is how quickly can you adapt to that...
